The presentation presents the main factors of monetary policy inefficiency and high inflation. This includes a pro-inflationary exchange rate policy, a non-functioning interest rate channel, as well as proposals to improve the situation, in particular, the transition to a comprehensive anti-inflationary policy that takes into account all inflation factors and provides for joint targeting of inflation, smoothing exchange rate fluctuations and economic growth.
The issue of China's growing influence in Kazakhstan becomes increasingly relevant each year. The PRC is one of Kazakhstan's key foreign economic partners. There is a strategic necessity for a systematic and comprehensive study of China. Alongside this, there is a need for strengthening and creating new platforms and mechanisms for interaction between the expert community, business structures, government apparatus, and universities in this research direction.
More than 70% of Kazakhstanis perceive China positively. This was told by the specialists of the Center for Applied Research "TALAP". They conducted a public opinion poll and analyzed the results in comparison with previous years' reports.
The purpose of the study is to calculate the perception index of China in Kazakhstan in 2023, analyse its dynamics since 2020, and identify the determining factors based on the public opinion survey.

Analytical articles and notes on public finance issues will be published periodically on the portal.
The fourth piece concludes TALAP’s first series of publications on strategic foresight. If the previous documents presented the global context, the development of the approach, and the results of the pilot test, this infographic captures the method architecture itself: how expert data move from the initial corpus to managerial interpretation.
The next stage was a practical test of the developed approach using materials from the first quarter of 2026. TALAP processed more than 300 publications, posts and comments by economic experts in order to test the full cycle of the Expert Signal Radar.
After studying international practice, TALAP began developing its own approach to strategic foresight in Kazakhstan. Its main purpose is to connect expert observations, facts from the economic agenda and possible consequences of change into a single analytical framework.
